Company contacts

Investment universe

We define the group of companies in which we can invest as our investment universe. 

In line with our bottom-up approach we closely follow the press releases and financial reports of companies in our investment universe. We take notice of the research that brokers are publishing. We also attend presentations, visit companies and speak with management on a regular basis. On average we have 300 company contacts per year.

Of all these company contacts we make reports for our files. When we have an exclusive meeting with a company we follow a strict approach. We always prepare such a meeting carefully and evaluate it internally.

This group of companies is not static. Companies disappear by mergers and acquisitions and IPOs add new companies.

Note that the list of company contacts is not an exact representation of our investment universe. Some companies are included in the investment universe where we did not have a meeting for the past 12 months. From time to time we also have meetings with companies outside of our existing investment universe that are interesting or that will be added to the universe in the future.
